Since Heidi was a young girl she has journeyed the artful life. As a teenager Heidi's Dad created a workshop for her. A place to call her own. A magical place to cut and paste, sew and paint and sprinkle sparkles to her hearts content.

Having dabbled in all things crafty the path finally led Heidi to the world of Teddy Bears.

Heidi's Mom and Gramma Betty taught her to sew. Having had no formal art training Heidi feels it has freed her to do it her way. No rights, no wrongs. Just all things fun and whimsical.

2006 celebrated Heidi's 20 year journey with the Teddy Bears and a menagerie of beasties.

Heidi has been fascinated with dolls and the doll making process since childhood. Fortunately this fascination has now inspired her to create charming teddy bears and other animals. Originally, she designed and made quilts which enticed her to research the history, conservation, and restoration of antique quilts and coverlets.

Through her extensive travels and collecting of old toys, treasures, trims, and clothing, she has chosen to unveil her hoarded collection to create lovely one-of-a-kind bears and whimsical limited editions.

"With every new day I feel lucky and very happy to be creating. I'm happiest running amok in the studio........still cutting and sewing, sprinkling sparkles and doing lots of dreaming."
